Abstract

As a central part of Christ's teachings, the Kingdom of God has great relevance for the Christian Church. The New Testament presents the Kingdom both as a present reality and as a future eschatological hope. The aim of this study is to analyze this tension through a bibliographical research and its implications in the context of the mission of the Church to spread the Gospel message in the present moment while at the same time awaiting the concretization of the Kingdom in the future return of Christ.
