This article presents the commented translation and analysis of two unpublished texts by Ellen White addressed to John Harvey Kellogg. The central objective is to contextualize the theological and administrative conflict that led to the rupture between White and Kellogg within the Seventh-day Adventist Church, while simultaneously analyzing the complexity of White's communication. For the linguistic analysis, the Grammatical Method of Eugen Rosenstock-Huessy is employed, focusing specifically on the application of grammatical modes (imperative and lyric/subjunctive). The research demonstrates how Ellen White utilized grammatical variations in a process the authors interpret as a verbal war or prophetic enunciation, aiming to persuade Kellogg regarding guidance she deemed vital. The study contributes to the understanding of Ellen White's rhetorical sophistication and provides unpublished primary material for research in Portuguese.
