Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The contribution is original, unprecedented and authorial, and is not being evaluated for publication by other journal; otherwise, it must be justified in "Comments to the editor".
  • The submittal archive is in Microsoft Word, OpenOffice or RTF format.
  • URLs for the references were informed, when possible.
  • The text body has a 1,5 space between lines and uses a Calibri size 12 font; it uses italic instead of underlined (except in URL addresses); images and tables are inserted in the text.
  • The text follows the style and bibliographic requirements standards described in Guidelines for Authors.
  • In case of submittal for a section with peer review (ex.: articles), instructions on how to remove authorship from an archive (available in Manual for Authors) were followed.
  • The abstract has between 100 and 250 words, accompanies keywords (from three to five); accompanies translation of the abstract and the keywords. Online translators such were not used.
  • The article is formatted according to ABNT regulations.
  • The submitted article did not involve research on humans beings. If it did and such research was used in this article, it was done in accordance with Brazilian National Health Council (CNS) Resolution 196/6 and approved by the Research Ethics Committee of the institution or place where it was conducted). The approval letter is attached to this cover letter(part 3). The collected informed consent forms (ICF) are in possession of the author(s) or people in charge of the research and/or institution, and are available for consultation and verification.
  • This article has, at most, 25% of self-plagiarism, in case a previously published research is used for the writing of a new one. If so, the previous work is explicitly quoted. Obs.: if the maximum amount is exceeded, the article will be returned to the author so that the appropriate change are made. If the requested changes are not made by the author, the submission will be shelved.
  • All the coauthors were properly noted in the moment of submittal and I agree that, after submitting the complete text with a defined authorship in RDD's OJS, I will not be able to add other coauthors to the research anymore.

Author Guidelines

Docent Discunt Journal accepts for submittal articles with a minimum of 10 pages and a maximum of 30 pages, considering references (with the text on the aforementioned formatting). Indentions must be used in direct quotations with over three lines, which will not be between quotation marks and will be put in font number 11.
