Abstract

This article reviews the moments when the writers of the Old and New Testaments registered that God abundantly outpoured gifts to His people through the Holy Spirit to accompany the ministry of the Messiah announced in the symbolism of the Israelite Sanctuary. Though God have outpoured gifts along the history, it is sought to detect the moments in which there have been a bigger outpouring of gifts. This revision registers the way the Spirit of God administers gifts and seeks to understand the goal of giving these gifts, seeking to comprehend if there is any level of hierarchy among gifts. In the conclusion, it is emphasized that the years of ecclesiastical practice have outshined key concepts in the relationship between believers and gifts of the Spirit, affecting personal and collective growth in faith.

Silvia Cristina Scholtus, Universidad Adventista del Plata

Licenciada en Teología y Doctora en Teología en la Universidad Adventista del Plata, Entre Ríos, Argentina. Fue capellana en el Sanatorio Adventista del Plata y colaboró con la fundación del Centro Adventista de Vida Sana. Se desempeñó en la Universidad Adventista del Plata en al que ha sido docente de la Facultad de Teología en los niveles de grado y posgrado, y en otras facultades de la institución, secretaria del Centro de Investigación White por más de 25 años. Es investigadora y escritora en el área bíblica e histórica. Escribió más de diez libros y más de 20 capítulos en obras conjuntas, ha escrito artículos diversos para revistas académicas y de divulgación publicados en diferentes países e idiomas. Formó parte de equipos editoriales de diferentes revistas académicas de la Universidad Adventista del Plata (DavarLogos, Enfoques, SAIT), fue miembro fundador de sociedades de investigación en el área histórica y teológica, y fue editora de la Editorial UAP. Dio conferencias en diferentes países de Latinoamérica. Actualmente es coordinadora del Centro Histórico Adventista de la Unión Argentina ubicado en la Universidad Adventista del Plata.
