Much is said about the 144,000, the mysterious group introduced in Chapter
7 of Revelation. Speculation and theories about this group have fascinated
scholars of the Bible through the centuries. Without dwelling much in all the various theories, this article summarizes the best known theories, coalescing them into 4 groups to outline which characteristics of this group are self-evident in the Biblical text and the relationship they have with the Church today, living in the final moments of the end-time.
