ELENA G. DE WHITE Y LA DISIDENCIA
Abstract
Este estudio presentará un desarrollo histórico-cronológico acerca del uso que hace Elena G. de White acerca de la “disidencia” en su contexto. Se estudiará dos términos usados por ella: “dissent” (disidencia) y “dissenters” (disidentes). El pensamiento de Elena G. de White, acerca de la “disidencia” tiene que ver más allá de apenas un significado literal de la palabra. Ella presenta que en el desenlace entre el bien y el mal, el pensamiento “disidente” tuvo su origen en Lucifer, quien se opuso a la voluntad de Dios. Este pensamiento tratará de destruir al pueblo de Dios en la tierra a través de aquellos que permiten que estos pensamientos gobiernen sus mentes, volviendo sus dones y su ser entero en contra del pueblo de Dios.

Resumo: Este estudo apresenta um desenvolvimento histórico-cronológico do uso feito por Ellen G. White da “dissidência” em seu contexto. São estudados os termos usados por ela: “dissent” (dissidência) e “dissenters” (dissidentes). O pensamento de Ellen G. White acerca da dissidência vai além de um significado literal da palavra. Ela declara que, no conflito entre o bem e o mal, o pensamento “dissidente” teve origem em Lúcifer, que se opôs à vontade de Deus. Esse pensamento buscaria destruir o povo de Deus por meio daqueles que permitem que tais pensamentos controlem sua mente, voltando suas habilidades e todo o seu ser contra o povo de Deus.
