Abstract

This article deals with the incarnation of Christ from a homiletic perspective, using the biblical text and Ellen G. White writings. I deal with Christ’s action of emptying Himself and how it directly affected His life and ministry. Christ is presented as having forfeited His privileges and powers, and thereby, being in need of communion with God, of exercising faith, and having a continuous dependence on the Father in order to receive wisdom, power and whatever was necessary to fulfill His mission.
