Abstract

The present article approaches the problem of the acceptance of pre-marital sex by the secular, non-religious, society. In the religious debate of the issue, the emphasis has usually being set on the biblical and ecclesiastic optics of the matter; little attention, however, has being given to political and sociological studies of the subject and its implications to society as a whole. This article searches to verify these latter approaches of the issue and to analyze their reasoning.
