The benefits of pastoral visitation in the Adventist context: implications for the church, its members, and the pastor

Pastoral visitation is a hallmark of Adventist ministry. However, in the face of multiple demands, this practice has increasingly become less prioritized in the pastoral agenda. In light of this, the following question arises: what are the benefits of pastoral visitation for the church, for its members, and for the pastor? This is a qualitative study based on the ideas of authors who have previously discussed the topic of visitation, without intending to exhaust the subject. In terms of object and procedures, it is a bibliographic research study. Finally, it is observed that pastoral visitation remains relevant in the current context and brings various contributions to the church, its members, and the pastor himself.
