É comum entre diferentes tradições religiosas compreender a vida de fé como travessia: um movimento contínuo entre o dom recebido e o mundo a ser interpretado. As comunidades de fé, sejam dos tempos antigos ou contemporâneos, sempre caminharam entre dois polos inseparáveis: o fundamento da revelação e a responsabilidade de comunicá-la, vivê-la e ensiná-la em contextos plurais, mutáveis e muitas vezes fragmentados.
