Abstract

When the Hebrew Bible scholar intents to pursuit the many approaches regarding
the interpretation of Canticles of Canticles, soon will realize that he is imersed in a broad context. This paper intented to disclose the leading interpretations of the book from both christians and jews alegorical approaches. Throughout a brief analysis concerning the formers approaches of Canticles of Canticles it was clearly seen that alegorical interpretation endured by the centuries of study in both jewish and christians readings. Alegory seems to head the initial approaches of the book, some times poiting to the relation between God and his people and in other occasions figuring the giving of Torah at Sinai.
