Abstract

The purpose of this research is to discover the meaning of the text in John 14:28 that says: “… the Father is greater than I”. The “I” of this biblical verse is clearly identified with “Jesus”. So, it is necessary discover in what sense “The Father is greater than Jesus”. The Greek word for “greater” is “μειζον”. This word is the main object of the study in this research. An exegesis of the text was done in an effort to define the meaning of this phrase and its interpretation according to the biblical context.
