The sabbath: an eternal sign between yahweh and the children of Israel – an exegetical study of exodus 31:17
Keywords:
Sabbath, Israel, Covenant, Exodus 31, 17.Abstract
The present exegetical study has the goal to understand the meaning of the words of Yahweh in Ex 31:17, where it is said that the Sabbath was a sign forever between Him and the People of Israel. The central question was to know if Yahweh’s intention were to establish a Covenant based in a exclusive sign to literal Israel only, or to establish a symbol for His people in any era.
