Abstract

This study deals with the Theory of Intertextuality and its usage in biblical exegesis. The section of Zechariah 7:1-8:23 was selected for an intertextual analysis. Before such an analysis, some historical and literary issues, with direct implications for this study, were addressed. At the end, the authors discuss the contribution of Theory of Intertextuality for the interpretation of the passage, and the implications of this theory as a methodology for interpretations of other texts of the Bible.
