Publication in a continuous flow (PCF): Scielo Brasil Methodology - started in 2022.

The main objective of the continuous flow of articles is to accelerate the research communication process and, thus, contribute to availability, reading, and circulation.

Publication in the continuous flow modality is essentially electronic and, therefore, is not the most suitable for journals that wish to maintain the classic form of publication based on the sequential pagination of articles within an issue. For journals that adopt continuous publication, you can just keep printing on demand without sequential pagination.
