“You shall not kill”: a reflection about the arguments against the death penalty in the light of the sixth commandment

The aim of this article is to analyze the opinions concerning the capital punishment. It searches to compare such opinions with what seems to be the biblical consensus on the issue and thereby reach a conclusion. With this purpose, it will examine the various positions existing among Christians in order to consider the Christian stance in relation to this matter.
