Abstract
Objective: This article aims to analyze health promotion in Adventist universities, highlighting the principles and actions developed by the Seventh-day Adventist Church over the years.
Method: A documentary analysis of health promotion initiatives carried out by Adventist institutions was conducted, including lifestyle education, health publications, the establishment of hospitals and clinics, the training of health professionals, and community projects. Additionally, the impacts of these initiatives on the quality of life and longevity of their members were evaluated.
Results: Studies indicate that Adventists who follow a healthy lifestyle exhibit greater longevity and a lower incidence of chronic diseases. Adventist universities play a fundamental role in disseminating these principles, promoting educational programs and health initiatives that benefit both students and the broader community.
Conclusion: Adventist health promotion initiatives demonstrate a strong alignment with contemporary scientific evidence. The model applied in Adventist universities can serve as a reference for other higher education institutions interested in health promotion and quality of life.
