Palavras-chave: Teologia da última geração; Perfeccionismo; Santificação; Teologia Adventista; Ellen G. The focus is the hermeneutics itself and the way Ellen G. White’s writings and the Bible are used. To this end, special attention is given to the following evidence concerning the hermeneutics of the LGT: (1) problems related to the biblical claims presented; (2) a selective reading of Ellen G. White’s writings; (3) the use of the “proof-text method”; (4) the presentation of themes from a mistaken perspective; (5) semantic problems; (6) reductionism of broader themes; and (7) problems related to argumentative logics. The research makes use of the bibliographic review method. Based on this article, it is possible to conclude that, should the LGT be a biblical teaching, its concepts must urgently and fully explained by means of a Bible-based hermeneutics, in accordance with Adventist principles of interpreting the Scriptures.

Key words: Last Generation Theology; Perfectionism; Sanctification; Adventist Theology; Ellen G.
